Kadeus - Invisible

Kadeus are an extension of an alternate reality, where we are obsessed with chasing our dreams. This band’s passion comes out through their music, not only lyrically, but in the notations they use in composing. The 4-piece band are able to harness an internal state of flow through their music. You can feel the presence on this one, yet the shroud is in front of the eyes. This one is called Invisible. Are we mere observers as they paint pictures of seasons? Do they dive into the soul to get the words for how the soul stirs? Kadeus don’t necessarily complicate the ambience that takes over with their music. Invisible begins like a favourite electro pop dream track, with vocals resonating deeply with the tone they are trying to set. The Swiss collective doesn’t make quick shifts, rather lets the tempo ripple through in waves. When we reach the chorus, a future bass ethos takes over, as the effects accent the lyrics even more. It isn’t just about the feel or lyrical aspects of the track, but the rich production. As masters in the electro pop atmosphere, they ensure there are gorgeous cinematic aural rooms being built in your brain as the song progresses. Even if you return to the chorus, you notice something different in what they add in as details. Kadeus add density, for those who notice the little things that make some music so beautiful. This would be a great track in the shifting character arc scene of The Edge Of Seventeen (2016). From how the protagonist finds herself from a lost identity to embracing their personality, this is the element of strength you want to hear in a movie like this. Kadeus represent defining electro pop in the indie scene, for everyone to enjoy.
