The Burton D'agostini Procedure - Float Over Here

The Burton D'agostini Procedure are back with a cinematic, thrill-by-the-minute blues rock track, 'Float Over Here'! Sounding like something straight out of a post-apocalyptic western blues rock situation comes The Burton D'agostini Procedure. Featuring long time friends and collaborators Jeff Burton and John D'agostini. The duo tunes into their psychadelic groovy influences from the likes of Pink Floyd, Foster The People, Cage The Elephant, MGMT and the like to deliver a fantastic new album, 'Standing with a Ghost'! We're looking at the opener track of the album, 'Float Over Here', a darkly wicked, immersive composition that grows on you the more you listen to it. Driving drums and emphasis riffs lead in along with drawlin electric guitar tones and curious synths. It would make for the perfect character introduction score in an offbeat action, adventure cult film like Kill Bill. We can just imagine Uma Thurman entering the scene with shining katanas in hand, ready to take on a room of baddies as this plays in the background. Perfection. The pace and tempo is measured and leave plenty of space and depth for emphasis and deepening of its emotional tone, one of intrigue, shrouded in mystery. What we really like about 'Float Over Here is its fearless, bold nature. Burton & D'agostini seem to have discovered their sweet spot, their signature sound, and we're all for it. Over its almost 4 min runtime, 'Float Over Here' exhibits all the characteristics of a well-tuned, creatively fluid duo that plays from a feisty spirit and with plenty of panache. It makes for fun, intelligent listening and will certainly appeal to modern alt rock aficionados!
