Frank Joshua-Panic in the Kitchen
Frank Joshua is the kind of bona fide artist who can melt a stone-cold heart. This is with his choice of vocals, the lyrics he writes, and the intangible element of him putting his all in the music he writes. From the scenarios he imagines to the words that create them, there is something special about this artist that stands out. This one is called Panic in the Kitchen. It is a unique way in which you are introduced to Frank Joshua. If you haven’t heard any other songs of his, this is a perfect one to begin with. He creates a premise through a ballad, where he associates the feelings of the protagonists. Like a love song, you expect the pining and eventual falling in love to take place. That’s where you’re wrong. This is a Frank Joshua song. The musician takes his story through the melodic treatment of pauses, phrasing and patience. You’re hearing a narrative, not reading a book. He keeps the elements visual, yet the matters of the heart speak in colour. The magnificent song is minimal, yet has so many layers that you sit, deep in thought. This proceeds, as the melody learns to experience and accept you. The retro creativity that his song has and the distance and time relation you feel is unique. Frank Joshua is incredible in his work, and this song would be amazing in The Killer (2023), where the complex psychosocial layers are explored by Fincher. A brilliant song, once again delivered by an amazing artist. Check out the song above and follow him for more like this!
