Chandra-Lifted
Your spur of energy will come by listening to Chandra. Here comes an artist who can create a flow of positivity and thought with his lyrics. From the moment I have heard this band, it has been an obvious choice to uplift my spirits. Also why I feel there is an exemplary cinematic construct in his music. This one is called Lifted, and it sure did its job on me. As a band, the chemistry is palpable through and outside the songs as well. This is something very few bands do have in a lifetime. I can almost imagine all of them smiling while recording this. The distorted guitar accompanies the vocals with a percussive chug. Like Chandra mentions, the lyrical forward approach helps spread positivity and the message. The pre-chorus is a like a garland of sound, making a beautiful harmony section as well. The sweet music video becomes another focus, where “home video” styled compositions and personal positivity is shown the spotlight. It is a delightful occurrence, showing how bands can actually appreciate the listeners they have and form a personal connection. You can promise yourself a good time when you sing the chorus and diving into the magical flow. This would be a perfect fit in the movie The Holiday (2006). From the kind of joyous messages it carries to the uplifting, inspirational chorus they have written, Chandra is the band in the spotlight right now.
