Sean Magwire-Not Ready Yet
Sean Magwire brings life to music, and music does the same for him. There is a beautiful relationship in how he has found music to be his energy source, and the kind of music he writes now. It is those emotional strings that bind us all, beyond language and time. With his latest single, an acoustic art-piece adorns itself in our heart forever. This one is called Not Ready Yet. It began with listening to Coldplay’s hit, Yellow. Since then, Sean Magwire has been the lead singer for The Lulabelles, has won several songwriting awards as well. Rather than sugar coat everything with hope, Sean acknowledges the hardest moments of life through his lyrics. Emotions are not extremes or boxes, but a spectrum, and we float through it with the context we are dealt. In his brilliant single, he keeps the melodies simple and the vocals even simpler. His voice has a timbre that is comforting, like your conscience having your back in the tougher times. The rhythm is consistent, like a pulse for the song that makes you hum along. Sean Magwire knows songwriting is expression as much as it is writing a good hook. As his thoughts are spread out in the tiny cosmos that is our brain, we are one in the confusion, but different in our own little ways. He writes lyrics with sheets of reality with the surrealism of “ifs” that surround us, and the hopes that are carried on. This song would be a perfect addition in The Way (2010), an emotional movie with some really incredible emotional scenes. You can check out the song above, and follow Sean for more like this!
