Repeat-You would know

The action is in the band name. Repeat are not a band to be heard and forgotten. That is why they make barbecue sauce sticky, addictive music. Then they put it out and we’re there like houseflies. Hook, line and sinker. There is no two-way about it. This is their latest single, You would know. Opening sequence, action movie. Any good one needs a killer soundtrack, and Repeat are making it easy for the director. I could easily imagine this in the chase scene for Logan Lucky (2017), and for good reason. This is a punk attack that puts all the weight on one side of the see-saw. Drop an anvil at the chorus, and you’re prepped for take off. The chord progression will remind you of The Ramones style delivery, and the hum is too addictive. If you were reminded of Blur’s Song 2 riff, you’re not alone. The fuel is burning at high volume for this one, and the transitions are seamless. Yet, there is that addictive switch for live music they install within the song. It is evident in the second time around the chorus, and you’ll be yelling the song to them in no time. The ending is a clean snip, no lingering feedback to lead you on. A clean break, a killer track.  Repeat are not making any false promises. They have released their self-titled album, full of dynamite precision and punk rock delivery. They keep it fresh, while having a retro feel to this music that is so loved. Listen to their album, on repeat if you will above!
