Indya-Raise Ya Vibration
Indya commands the sound she carries. Her music is a cacophony cocktail that every true music fan will enjoy. Her energy is unmatched, and the delivery of vocals is incomparable. The kind of kick you get from her rock tracks is the spine of your party, that is what people wait for. This is her latest single, Raise Ya Vibration. Kick it to 5th gear instantly. Indya has not much time for build-ups, and her track shows. She has the drive and need to bring this intense punk rock tempo and energy. Her sound also tries to blend a new genre this time, a reggae swing. Though the aggressive distorted guitar and her fuel powered intensity is what gives the song its vibration, she keeps the song constructed within crests and waves. It pays off well, as we return to a crushing, explosive chorus with a guitar solo. It is the epitome of rock mixes, and is packed with the dynamite a song like this would need. Films like 6 Underground, Kill Bill and Mad Max could have kicked it with this song for the opening. Grabbing attention, it also classifies the protagonist as an instant badass. The tempo also allows the scene to flick by soon, while still carrying the kind of gravity it does. You would have heard her sound in indie playlists with tracks like I Wanna Be The One, Little Crush & Harder Faster among others. She is a bullet that has left the chamber, and will only gather more speed. Listen to her and support her incredible sound!
DCxPC Live Vol. 10 Presents- RATH & The Wise Guys / The Kutoffs Live at Lou's
Pure punk rock will blow your hair back. It is rebellion in musical format, paradise for bohos and misfits. RATH & The Wise Guys and The Kutoffs give a live set at Lou’s that is one for the ages. As they bring the best of live gig energy, they were kind enough to record it. Prepare for wreckage at home. Sift through the debris while looping this album again. This is DCxPC Live Vol. 10 Presents- RATH & The Wise Guys / The Kutoffs Live at Lou's. One of my favourite rock albums remains London Calling. It isn’t the compositions, but a band enraged giving it their all. RATH & The Wise Guys kick the set off. No small talk, no banter and pander. Straight to the meat, and it's divine to taste. You can practically hear the place turn over to hell, and they are tighter than a quartz clock. The riff for Melt My Brain is classic punk, pushing the energy to another dimension. Stiffed creates an alt-rock push, something that The Ramones would sound like. It is a kick-ass track with some high voltage action. My favourite parts of these songs is that they’re short, to the point and all gold. No time is wasted in a build-up, they’re as punk as it can get. RATH close out their set with Nose Candy. To reiterate, that's drugs. Another powerful track, the bass shines as much as the guitars for this riff. Meaty and chunky, you can hear the tone as much as any other instrument, the balance is pure and powerful. The Kutoffs take the stage next, and all they need is their name to incite the devil. It is an alt-rock energy that reminds you of Sum-41 & blink. Taking Off is their opener, one of their most popular singles. A little over 3 minutes, it keeps the party going and the zealous out pour of mayhem melodies. Enjoy the Ride closes out what would have been a baller evening. It is the perfect song to close out a live performance, and it has all been highs. It is a superb live performance by two high-horsepower generators of music. Though two sides of the same paper, their principles and music make the best of their talents. Their talent being the waning art of live performances. The bouncing energy, the band on fire, the jams and chemistry leading to the worn out stage. You heard 2 bands that love playing together, and no kind of performance can show it better. This was a movie in itself, so I won’t imagine anything other than the movie I missed. Feel their raw power and follow them on every platform so that you can stay up to date. For now, embrace the chaos and rock out!
Darrian Gerard-Basement Stadium
Darrian Gerard might be the next punk rocker messiah. Her songs have massive Bikini Kill and X energy, from vocals to instrumentals, everything is on high wattage. It would be a miracle to hear her live, owing to the kind of performances she gives in her recordings. Today we listen to her EP, Basement Stadium. Being a complete home studio artist is no easy task. Everything is in your hands, including how the music feels. Darrian Gerard has her basement stadium packed, if she’s executing songs this way. The distortion on the guitars and her appeal is insane, especially with her opening track Explosion. She goes for a slow opening, and for a punk rocker, that is performance haven. Her riffs push towards a catchy chorus that you’d definitely be singing along to. You might find the second title a little misleading. It is called Powerless, but it pushes the envelope for the most annihilating essence of sound. As it organically builds, I can imagine hoards of rock lovers clapping along to the beat. The vocals interact very smoothly with the guitars, and layers galore. One of the most well written tracks lyrically and arrangement wise as well. Everybody’s Mad At Me is the rebels lament. Darrian Gerard is an expert in getting a slow, solid opening that has a firework chorus section with plenty of overflow. It is a great way of bringing in pop flavours but retaining the core principle of punk rock/rock. Hear it echo As we reach Backseat Driver, you feel a whole different texture to the tone. This is a pleasant surprise, where you can’t put her love for genres in a box. The chorus comes in pretty early, making for a catchy track. It is important not to pander with over-the-top instrumentals as well. It is top quality content with no seconds on the track meter wasted. As we close this energetic EP, we approach her most popular track. Old Wounds has an emotional core, the ink spilling into the instrumentals. The virtual reflections are almost inundating, for we never know the kind of vocal route she’ll take with her songs. Darrian Gerard is not only the snippet of the modern musician, but someone who had their first love in music. I’d love to see this reprised in Smithereens, which is a movie released in 1982, but has all the energy Darrian brings to her music. Tailored to perfection in sound and production as well, she is an all-rounder music buff who will continue to make fun but meaningful music. Joan Jett has already got reincarnated, and this one resonates with the new generation of die-hard music fans. Don’t forget to follow her on Spotify for more superb music coming your way!

Cardboard Boxer-Tunnel Vision
Cardboard Boxer make you miss skate and punk rock. Their approach is like many other rockers. However, their lyrics and feral energy during performing can be felt in their recordings. It might be almost as exciting and invigorating to hear them live. With 3 albums under their belt, this is their first single of the year, Tunnel Vision. The way this song opens is enough to know it will be a crowd favourite. The four chord change and pocket of silence before the storm will make you go ape-shit. Listening to this band is like watching those giant Transformer robots battle. It is intensely fun, melodic and memorable. When the verse part chugs through, you’ll find yourself singing the harmonics if you’re yelling it out like me. Cardboard Boxer are what sum-41 and blink-182 brought to the table. It is an expression of the hyperbolized mind, and it is the most in-the-moment genre there might ever be. You can imagine yourself turning into a feral avatar of your best self in their live shows. The lyrics are relatable, a one-dimensional track of mind all of us have experienced. Cardboard Boxer don’t slack around-this is Vans era skate videos with their music blasting in the background. Moose Wrench-Not Dead Yet
Moose Wrench are here with another solicited treasure. Luckily, they are hiding all this in their backyard, for we have another treat to gorge on. This is their latest EP, and it has a rocking echo to it that will fill the hangars and halls of the world. This one is called Not Dead Yet. Sure, there could have been any poem that Moose Wrench could have begun this escapade with. However, they go at it with Dylan Thomas, and the narration might be a distraction. As you marvel at the poetic flow of the leaden words, Directionless Twat has already begun vibrating. As “rage” loops over, you’re in the midst of the rocking riff that has to kick off the festivities. The band doesn’t hold back, creating a pastry of shred and hard rock soul. They decide to go prog-rock this time, and you’ll be following through the entire time. Vocals are like a grizzly bear’s whisper, and bring all the potential energy to level the ground. In all the revelations of rock Ginnel Dick has big boots to fill. After that opening song, you’ll be craving more. More is what Moose Wrench give you. The FX heavy guitar opens up the gates to a rock rhapsody that lasts a perfect length. There is a punk residue in this song that maintains that speed and tenacity that the band’s execution is known for. If that had left a taste of gunpowder in your mouth, then the psychedelic aura here should change it all. You’re subjected to a tangy, sweet flavour with Don’t Let Me Down. You can hear all of this be delivered to you as a musical, and that might bring some strain of reality with this music. The band must have torn down the studio wallpaper to bring some real daylight and neon lamps to work with. This is a result unlike any of their prior releases, while showing their listener’s that they must prepare to be on their toes. Moose Wrench want to adjust the groove to some different sizes, and they are one size fits all. Leaning into the mania Not Dead Yet goes punk, and if you’re counting, I’ll help you out. The band has shown a spectrum of about 4 different sub-genres in the 4 songs they have performed. All have been worth enjoying for how exciting the essence is. Dingleberry Fyn is just something of a treat for being a good little listener. Here, you get to lose your shit, and the song supports it to the max. Their 2021 album Dead Stars is worth listening to just to enjoy the beautiful textures this band can produce. They are performing delicate ballet with dynamite, and to us it all looks great. This EP would be great for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). The Guy Ritchie directed movie needs something of this calibre to be perceived as the mishmash of eccentricity it is. Listen to the songs above and follow Moose Wrench for more!
Repeat-You would know
The action is in the band name. Repeat are not a band to be heard and forgotten. That is why they make barbecue sauce sticky, addictive music. Then they put it out and we’re there like houseflies. Hook, line and sinker. There is no two-way about it. This is their latest single, You would know. Opening sequence, action movie. Any good one needs a killer soundtrack, and Repeat are making it easy for the director. I could easily imagine this in the chase scene for Logan Lucky (2017), and for good reason. This is a punk attack that puts all the weight on one side of the see-saw. Drop an anvil at the chorus, and you’re prepped for take off. The chord progression will remind you of The Ramones style delivery, and the hum is too addictive. If you were reminded of Blur’s Song 2 riff, you’re not alone. The fuel is burning at high volume for this one, and the transitions are seamless. Yet, there is that addictive switch for live music they install within the song. It is evident in the second time around the chorus, and you’ll be yelling the song to them in no time. The ending is a clean snip, no lingering feedback to lead you on. A clean break, a killer track. Repeat are not making any false promises. They have released their self-titled album, full of dynamite precision and punk rock delivery. They keep it fresh, while having a retro feel to this music that is so loved. Listen to their album, on repeat if you will above!
