Origins Of Nebulae - Motion Blur
Origins Of Nebulae is a boat that lies floating on a serene river, waiting to pull you away into wonderland with their latest release Motion Blur. This album is lush with texture and what is a pleasant surprise is that they do this with Rock. They do this not only through the instruments and tone of the music but also through the track's titles. Even before you step into their world, the view looks gorgeous and detailed, that’s what the titles make you feel. Origins Of Nebulae under the Oak Tree They summon the birds and streams through this number. The soft plush in Oak Tree vocals that linger above the instrumentals are the icing on the cake in this number. Hearing this is an experience, the perfect gateway into the world that the band will take us into. The track is an incredibly detailed number and it’s powerful that they have managed to do this majorly with a largely instrumental section in the song. Swallow’s Dance Swallow’s Dance is one of the most interesting songs on the album. While they follow the general beat structure that the band follows, there is something so warm and inviting about the tracks. The build of the song allows for the music to bubble and swell in our chest, leaving us feeling as light as a feather. Allowing us to float away and explore the skies. Their music only acts as the wind beneath our feet, propelling us higher and higher. Also what an interesting mix of wind instruments that is backed by the drums. The track feels like a joyous mating dance almost. Tides Of The Eyes Tides of the Eyes is a surprise if you ask me, it has a very different texture of instrumentals. There is a touch of overarching techno that elevates the acoustics in the song rather than stealing the spotlight. The band has this unique ability to use the drums as a bass instrument and experiment with other instruments and vocals. The echoing section in the song is a beautiful way to end the album. It’s almost as if they want the song to echo within us even after we hit the stop button. The French band has a universal sense of creation, making their music cross borders and into the world’s hearts. A universal film much like the song Bridge to Terabithia. If you anything about the film, it's one, it would have left you in pieces and two- the film has some of the best musical arrangements out there and most songs from Motion Blur would fit in wonderfully in their playlist! The way their track ebb and flow is one that is unique to only Origins Of Nebulae. Pointing our gaze to the wonderful chemistry that the band shares, being able to hold your ground while also contributing to each other’s spotlight isn’t an easy task but the band seems to have mastered this craft.
