Norine Braun-Adoption
With her unique grooves and refreshing vocals, Norine Braun is making music that she loves with a unique flavour. Perhaps what makes a song so special is the individual essence someone’s experience brings to it. Norine does so with her music time after time, making for a dramatic and cinematic song overall. This is called Adoption. Like I previously mentioned, the grooves she uses aren’t common to all. There is a special knack she has to read through these. Her gentle vocals mimic the kind of jump and flow the song has. It also settles back, leading to an amazing contrast that makes the song so special. The electric flush of the guitar complements her vocals brilliantly, while she also gives it space to take over the ambience of the song. The kind of strain she purposely puts on the high notes makes it natural, like you’re part of the live experience. Such progressions are extremely rare to find in a pop flushed culture. Norine Braun tells us what we’re missing out on by delivering exactly that. This is the kind of power you need to feel from live music, from someone who loves sharing it. Her album Journey Towards Wholeness is sure to release this year, with 4 singles already out from the album. The kind of melodies she is choosing is truly special, it is interesting to see where it will go. I think this would be a great track in Nomadland (2020), especially given the scenic backdrops and unique textures of the movie grain as well. Listen to Norine Braun above and follow her for more music like this!
