Dharmika - Give Me Shelter From The Storm

In a world filled with so much noise at the moment, it is refreshing to hear Dharmika in Give Me Shelter From The Storm address all that noise and hope we are not alone. As the world edges on the possibilities of a world war, we wait for responses from beefing artists. The artist has a way of soothing hearts with her simple yet sharp music. She along with C. Todd Robbins who played all the instruments and produced the song and Lance Jordan who played bass, have created a poignant piece of art. The track is a simple one in terms of arrangement but carries some heavy meanings. While the track carries the weight of immense meaning, Dharmika also lifts a certain amount of tension off our shoulders. When you are surrounded by a barrage of different kinds of content that ranges from home decor to current affairs, your mind tends to get stuck trying to process it all. And our singer comes in to beautifully articulate our feelings and give words to thoughts we didn’t know how to verbalize. Her writing is simple yet powerful because she vocalizes thoughts we are all feeling. We even end up processing a whole bunch of feelings and that I believe is the arc of the song. And this arc is a personal one.  Late Night Shows are some of the most fascinating genres as a concept due to various reasons but most times (if not all) they have excellent writing. I truly believe that Give Me Shelter can be used in Late Night written by Mindy Kaling. Dharmika is the voice of the youth and I highly suggest you follow her music in the links attached above.
