The Ninth Empire is an expert at keeping his identity a secret but seems to be okay with bleeding on paper for all of us to hear. The artist describes himself as an abandoned King, if that doesn't have you clutching your heart, his music surely will. His music seems to be dark, brooding, punk and pop, although it would be hard to fit his music in boxes such as these. His music is universal in the sense that it is bound to capture all sorts of hearts. Ghosted has some of the most gut-wrenching poetry that is folded into every beat. This origami of a song has your heart twisting, turning and folding with pain. He seems to be good at tapping into our emotions and the well-crafted music certainly helps. It seems like he knew the exact imagery that would play out in our heads as he crafted the song. Our slighted lover has lyrics that will be etched in our memories forever. “Now look at the mess we in, It took all my patience and all my pride. No more hesitations and no more lies.” This feeling that rain falls around us as we can taste betrayal in our mouths is giving Jennifer’s Body. Making Ghosted the perfect song to be added to their playlist. This film is a masterpiece in terms of narrative and themes. The director derives the story from her own life, making the film that much more real and relatable to every girl.
