The poet in Chris truly shines in this number, where he lays himself at the altar of love and surrenders at the feet of his love. But the love he expresses is so free of any doubt or contempt. This performance is also because it is just him and the harp, where he masterfully plays the instrument and delivers a rustic score that tugs at the strings of your heart. The way he uses choir music is masterful, as though he were the disciple of his lover. A TV show that masterfully portrays the other side of this kind of devotion is Fleabag. While this song would not fit into the musical score of the series, there is an invisible thread that ties the series and the song together in terms of themes like devotion and love.
