Mister Chorister - Brave
There’s no easing into things with Mister Chorister. “Brave” arrives with a clear sense of direction, sounding more like a comeback than a debut. The project, led by Christopher Scott Brammer, comes after a long break from music, and that time away gives the song a strong sense of purpose. The track starts softly but quickly shifts gears. Guitars kick in, drums land with weight, and bright synths run through the mix, giving it a wide, expansive feel. The track holds its own without leaning too heavily on any one reference point. Brammer’s vocals carry the song forward with a direct and honest tone. Lines like “You can only break through if you know who you are” hit with clarity, while the hook “you are so brave” is built to stick. It feels like something meant to be shouted back at a live crowd. As the song builds, every element pushes upward together, creating that full, anthem-like rush. Underneath all of it is a simple idea about stepping forward, backing yourself, and not holding back. “Brave” would fit right into a big turning-point scene in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The song’s energy and message line up well with those moments where Miles is figuring out who he is and choosing his own path, especially during the film’s high-stakes sequences. For a first release, this doesn’t play it safe. It goes big, and more importantly, it feels earned.
