Frank Joshua-Seedy Grammar

Frank Joshua just doesn’t “make” retro styled music. He lives and breathes it, for it speaks to him, and he can converse through it. With his grade of talent, it is shocking to see the range of unique melodies he can churn out. His unique sound is amplified more than ever with his latest single. This refreshing number is called Seedy Grammar.  Broad synth strokes take upon the theme of the song. It has the delivery that puts you in those Miami Vice wayfarers, while you stare into the beachy sunset. Choosing a lower register, he keeps the mysterious aura on while treading on the song's textures. The percussion becomes strong, while the strums have the delay and attack for a swagger. You must also pay attention to the detail he has in the background. There are synth lead elements that harmonise with his low register vocals, creating an epiphany of a song. When his vocals start going through the phaser, you’re reminded of the new wave movement that gave a characteristic voice to the songs. If he isn’t composing with the cinematic edge in mind, I find him to be fibbing. The visual cirrelations he makes are unlike no other indie musician you’ll hear anywhere.  Crafting a meticulous catalogue, a voice without a face. We feel like Frank Joshua is known to us, just by the fingerprint his music carries. You can also check out his brilliant album called Turn to Your Soul. As mentioned, this would be beautiful as a track in Miami Vice, especially the second season. Follow Frank Joshua for more music and check out Seedy Grammar above!
