Dax - Catch The Rain
The freshest of tracks- Catch The Rain by Dax encapsulates every aspect of working hard to either get what you want or just survive. It’s utterly fascinating how many themes and emotions rap as a genre can fit under it. What we have with us here is a melodic rap. And it hits home with every beat and every bar he spits. This is one such track that manages to give words to so many feelings and experiences we believe are unique only to us. But of course, misery loves company however it also breeds hope to know that someone else has similar feelings. Catch The Rain is a track that sets fire to the rain with its slow burn. There is a texture to the rhyme scheme that fools you into thinking that Dax is going easy. And up to a certain level it is true, but there is so much technique that is folded into every verse that makes this track as special as it is. Not every rap song needs to be groovy or angry. A track can be emotional, and melodic and still remain true to the form and expression. The track would be a wonderful one if it were added to the series Good Girls. When I tell you this series is dangerously funny and straight-faced, I mean it! The track would work beautifully is a well-crafted series such as this. Top-tier craft deserves top-tier crafts. It is wonderful to bear witness to the vulnerabilities of so many artists and we are thankful to Dax for allowing us into his mind maze that has his heart in the center.
