Avresa-Short Sighted
Avresa has always been the rebel, with a cause. While purists sulk, this incredible musician finds what made him dive into music head first-melody. Every song is a journey that he has wanted to take. There is an ache, a desire to what he puts out, and each single is a gift from the brilliant composer. This one is called Short Sighted. Although he has combined and made an amalgam of many different genres-he stays true to his intent. Avresa has articulated once again his shortcomings, and how he will overcome them through the flow of song. It is his core of communication, of expression and retribution. Short Sighted might sound like a great rock track from the 80s sometimes. It is designed with the contemporary etchings of a maestro. Not only are all the genre parts blend together in cohesion-there is a way of thinking expressed that cannot be attributed to anyone else. The musician enjoys his stint as a magician here, and Avresa’s song is nothing short of a spell. The Swede also makes sure the production is tonally perfect, so you can absorb the breadth of the song as a whole. His album Perspective is a great slice into his thought and trials from the past to the present. One to challenge himself, it is impossible to hear an Avresa song without an immense zeal to take on life by the toes. This would be a great fit in the movie Motorcycle Diaries (2004).
