Thurane - Lead Me To The Cross
Every bit of Lead Me To The Cross brings out the spirituality in you and Thurane makes sure he will have you tongue-tied by the end of it. He has always had a way of combining genres and mediums in his work. But nothing prepares you for the brilliance of this song. The track is a mix of church and rock, a perfect balance. While you don’t need the perfect beat to show devotion, it certainly helps. Music has always been the perfect vessel to show devotion and Thurane’s new number is the perfect reminder of that. The track begins with some slow guitar work that has the stage ready for the vocals. When we do hear the vocals, he blows us away with the sheer technique and control. His voice alone adds layers and layers of enigma to the track. Not to mention the textures that the band brings in. There is an element of classical in the song as well, it brings in both grace and gravity to the song that appeals to all our senses as listeners. This track would be wonderful in Romeo + Juliet (1996). This film is all sorts of iconic, I mean to pick Shakespeare to adapt to the screen itself is a task but to modernize it? Phew and Bazz Luhrmann has done a stellar job at that as well. So if you have a taste for perfection, I highly suggest you give Thurane a listen. His unique sensibility is worth giving some attention to and certainly deserves some hype! So stay tuned for the release of Lead Me To The Cross.
