The Post - Yellowstone

If there was a backtrack for an adventure where you chase the setting sun had a soundtrack, Yellowstone by The Post would be its anthem. The dynamic duo of Esther Bertram and Alasdair Henry have crafted a sonic landscape as expansive as the park itself, blending rugged rock energy with the haunting elegance of cello. The result? A track that feels both timeless and boundary-pushing, like a modern folk tale set to music. From the first strum, Yellowstone pulls you into its world—a place where the guitars crackle as campfire embers and cello lines roll across the horizon like storm clouds gathering. They weave something excitingly eerie with their music owed to their layering. The Cello alongside the guitar and then when you add her vocals, it feels as though the earth and sky collide and we seem to be floating about in this strange union. The interplay between strings creates a cinematic tension. As if the song itself is galloping through open plains, never quite settling, always chasing something just beyond reach. Owed to the galloping rhythm, you feel as though you are chasing something that is just beyond your reach. You can hear this soundtrack on any film with Mathew McConaughey but specifically Dallas Buyers Club. The track rings in your ear after you have hit the stop button. The Post has created a number that is more of an experience. It lingers and like dust on a traveler’s boots, daring you to listen again and again reminding of the journey previous and far ahead.
