Poveda- Otra Noche Más
Otra Noche Más by Cuban singer/songwriter Poveda is a re-rendering of his 30-year-old song he composed in 1985. Much like wine, this too has aged greatly or shall I say, it is evergreen? Either way, it’s bound to have you missing your hammock whether you have one or not. Everything about the song is as smooth as butter. You are eased in with the general noise of the Cuban public and the song begins seamlessly. You unconciously relax your shoulders and unclench your jaw as you let the he strings, percussion and the soothing vocals do its magic. Poveda believes that this is exactly what the lyrics and the song embody. He says “The original song and lyrics speak to an idyllic freedom that transcends all walks of life and brings you back to the state one can only experience in the presence of nature.”. The number effortlessly weaves together a range of elements to create a truly unique musical experience. A film that showcases that you just have to let life do it’s thing and go with the flow is Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants. Otra Noche Más would really highlight how their friendship enriches each other even though they are largely apart. Also, Otra Noche Más sounds just as wholesome as the movie is and therefore they truly deserve each other. Overall Poveda is bringing back every song that deserved its moment and Otra Noche Más deserves to bask in its rightful glory. It’s clear that a great deal of attention has gone into the production of this number. The result of which is a song that is both captivating and wholesome.
