Frank Joshua - Passionate Eye
Frank Joshua is an artist who paints clear and vivid imagery with his music, and in Passionate Eye, his talent is clear as daylight. If there is a Venn diagram with pop, electronic, and R&B, Joshua’s music is where all three of them intersect. He seems to have been the master at blending genres and tunes. Joshua is clearly dedicated to his craft; he has released over 40 EPs in the past 5 years, and it has only gotten better time and time again. Each song has its own style with a little bit of panache by him. Passionate Eye is the first of its kind; it seems to be almost ballroom EDM-like, maintained in nature. It starts off slow and patient. This is a mood that is maintained throughout, like an embodiment of the love he holds for his lover—i.e., the Passionate Eye he addresses in the song. An interesting aspect of these passionate eyes is that they are deeply fluid in nature. Lyrically he changes its gender, and then he makes you believe that it might not be a person or even a people but could be a concept altogether. way, Either way there is a transformative and fluid identity to his work, similar to the same feelings that Typhoon Family elicits. Frank is an artist that seems to paint with broad strokes. What I mean to say is, the emotions and themes of his music are clear, even if he takes the scenic route lyrically. There is no other like Frank Joshua in the best possible way; his work is one of a kind, making his listeners truly lose themselves in his musical world.
