Ari Joshua Quartet-Praysue

The maestro Ari Joshua is back with another single. The prolific individual has been making music like it's second nature, like it is his heartbeat. With the kind of collaborations and trios he has, the catalogue is a brilliant bouquet now. This is his latest one with some other genius musicians involved, namely-John Medeski, Billy Martin & Jason Fraticelli. This is their latest number, Praysue. This 8 minute epic is an exploration of the scales and tunes that this quartet can create. Creativity flows in real time, while each instrument lays its signature down. For Ari Joshua and his group, instruments are an extension of the brain. It is an epic tale, over 8-minutes long. You don’t realise this in the creative play they enjoy, while taking their time to enjoy the space they’re playing with. There is a cinematic edge in this song more than any, the strings and orchestral arrangement make a whole new break. It is an interesting bounce, while still being neo-jazz, it also tries new avenues to melodically divide. Ari Joshua is the best arranger for more music like this, trying to merge whatever is possible in terms of extensions in melodies.  You can check out his massive catalogue on his website and Spotify. Also make sure you follow him on socials, for the virtuoso is always touring when not making music. This particular song would be a perfect fit in Birdman (2014). Check out the single above and give Ari Joshua some love!
