A masterpiece awaits your attention and that is XTC by Wagner the Band. This latest release is bound to take you on a sonic journey that will have you putting your funky shoes on. The band seems to be pushing boundaries constantly and XTC lives up to the band’s reputation. If there was ever a picturesque imagery of electric-rock, XTC will have you seeing it as you go through the motions of the song.  As soon as you hit play button, the electrifying beats makes its way to your feet. It will have you walking to the dance floor and there is no turning back. We are met with an eerie pulsating rhythm in the beginning. It’s interesting how it feels as though we hit the ground running as we are introduced to the vocals. The vocals masterfully floats above the sweet and groovy bass-line. The electric guitar work is truly mixed and mastered to perfection by the production team. Right when you think that you’ve heard the song peak, bam! You’re met with the electric guitar section. This section propels the song to new heights, altering the sonic tapestry of the track. The track has a classy yet party mood going on to it, making it the perfect addition to Glass Onion- A Knives Out mystery. This film is meticulously made, down to every last detail. The track has something so liberating about it, almost as if you soar with the melody. Wagner The Band have made their contribution to the alt-rock genre and they made sure that it is unforgettable. The thrilling musical escapade deserves every bit of attention it has received and more.

Electric High-Crooks

Electric High sure can get the ball rolling. Their anthemic rock sound is famous around indie rock playlists now. Inspired by the best of the 70s and 80s, they bring a hint of alt-rock as well. Their singles and albums are widely regarded as some of the best produced work in any playlist. This is their latest single, Crooks.  The moment this song opened, I could only think of Crank. The Jason Statham action movie has a great scene which would be fitting with this song. The thumping sound is sure to get the crowd going. In a way, you feel like you’re singing a sea shanty, complete with some psychedelic, melting guitar instrumentals going around in the background. At 0:25, the guitar and percussion kicks in, building some intense anticipation. The riff is one of my favourite from them, second only to maybe Rough Diamond. This song is sure to climb the charts of their charismatic leather dance fests. You can practically hear the crowd humming and singing the opening and verse section of the song. Production is top-shelf as usual from the band, and there’s more than one reason to get a patch of this band sewn to your jacket. Celebrate these crooks.  Their singles like Waiting with a Gun and Reproducing Man have become big hits. Electric High is known for some electrifying performances (which their name suggests). You can listen to the single and follow them for this action packed track, and many more to come soon!
