Gold Frames

Gold Frames

Gold Frames, an alternative rock band hailing from the beaches of Southend-on-Sea, draws inspiration from 80s nostalgia, shoegaze sounds, and scuzzy rock riffs. The band's music is fueled by their collective upbringing, navigating the chaos of London and finding solace in the tranquility of a seaside town. The journey of Gold Frames began with vocalist (Lloyd Entwistle) and guitarist (Jack Hollister), who embarked on writing sessions and ventured into the studio to record their initial songs as Gold Frames. However, their time at Abbey Road Studio was abruptly cut short as the music industry grappled with the pandemic, making them one of the last bands to have an in-person experience at this legendary studio. The band's lineup was completed with the addition of drummer (Mark Hughes) and bassist (Anthony Baldock). Each member's diverse musical influences and instrumental fluidity contribute to their hybrid genre - defying conventional labels is the creative synergy that makes the Gold Frames sound. Although faced with the pandemic stealing time, the band quickly made pace having supported successful European band "Donkey Kid" during their tour in London. With a blend of raw angst, eclectic texture, and a spirit you can only expect from out east of London."Burning Bridges" serves as the band's debut, showcasing the infectious energy that Gold Frames is poised to share with listeners.
