Elad David-Old and Wise
You will feel the difference in music experience with Elad David and his compositions. There is not a question about it. A musician like this feels music once in a lifetime. If they are able to translate it the same way, it is even rarer. His singles have always tried to fold in tradition, style, technique and feel. What we get in terms of a result reflects all these things. This is his latest single, Old and Wise. I would like to salute this musician in terms of feel alone. I often feel musicians don’t give right titles for some of their songs. For a track titled Old and Wise, this is exactly the kind of tone I could foresee. This is not a tip of the hat to me, but for a musician to be able to translate something so effectively. By the time the bass interlaces with the intro, you’re completely taken by what the song will come to be. Texturally the song is still minimal, only the guitar, bass and ukulele sharing the stage. The figure of feel is never left out, the “knowledge” aspect shining through the kind of notes chosen for the composition. A brilliant, lucidly sound effort by Elad David. I would be remiss to not mention the quality production work to hear something so crisp and clean. The Father is a movie that came to mind instantly. If not for the limitation of the genre itself, this instrumental in a nutshell really elucidates the expertise of the protagonist. Listen to his brilliant album called Uke Fever to know how to explore an instrument to its limits. Follow him for more brilliant music like this!
