Elad David-Mind's Creations

Find colour in the most mundane things when you listen to Elad David. The talented songwriter is a poet with the 6 string, and then more. There are niches within his music that will transport you to gorgeous, faraway places. The same way, he wants you to dive into it with him. Like all his other brilliant music, this is his latest EP. This is called Mind’s Creations.  Nonstop World opens up Pandora's box of delights. Elad David has a soft, appealing voice that assists the guitar incredibly well. He comments on the breakneck speed at which this world moves. As he notes that we are all absorbed into our own worlds, he also mentions the things that give us joy. The smaller things. This is where his commentary as a musician starts to matter. He isn’t just expressing what he feels, there is an objective truth to it all. His soft guitar playing is a perfect canvas for his thoughts, and he sings them with intent. The groovy background of The Realm of Forgotten Memories is a joyous one. Elad David is like Clapton on his acoustic records. It is enough to just hear his voice and lyrics, muddled with the well mixed acoustic. There are some bluesy numbers, some are singer-songwriter genius. This particular one feels like a mix that you’d like to jam to. Chasing Paper Dreams is a much softer one, receding into the deepest pockets of his mind.  This is one of those songs that blends time and space. His choice in vocals and the complementing progression is fun to listen to. A clever songwriter, he masters the tune so that he can have fun while recording. The raw ability to just pick up the song with falsettos and refreshing tones is just exceptional.  The Voices has a Broadway musical kind of feel to it. Though Elad David uses piano and slight synth elements in his music, they are only for drama. It is creative exploration, to hear only his voice and the rich timbre of the acoustic. The bass is clearly heard in this song. It adds to the tapestries’ complexity.  My Path to You is the closing number for this brilliant EP. It is like reading chapters of the same journal, creating a story you’ll never hear again. Chords and instrumental parts have their own character, like Elad’s friend. He has sharpened his vocal skills to completely encapsulate the feel of the song extremely well.  From his 2022 album Uke Fever, Elad David seems to return to the guitar to showcase his first love. It is a unique and classy effort, to show us what musicianship is imbibed in. This would be a perfect EP for Garden State (2004), where Elad has driven through so many aural textures. Listen to the EP above and follow him for more!
