Sig And The Fire Pilots-Almost Out of Time
2 h : 56 min

Sig And The Fire Pilots bring you the joy and ecstatic ornamentation of reggae. This is owing to a sound that defined a decade, roots that are widespread as the genres of music. Their music is ridiculously catchy, it brings a sense of groove with a tip of the hat to blues as well. We celebrate the miles of smiles of reggae with their latest single, Almost Out of Time.  It is an understatement to call their first release, Clickbait, a catchy tune. Thoroughly digging themselves a groove, they allow the melody to flood in. Almost Out of Time brings a dire message, but the tune plays the contrast. It is a work of art on a white wall, the spotlight unnecessary because of the play of colours. I was drawn to the bass line, following the melody while drawing out its own tributary. This type of high quality arrangement and chord progression is not a regular occurrence among "fresh" indie bands. Pitch perfect vocals with unfiltered delicacy show that this band sounds as good live as they do in their recordings. Get out your margarita mixer, lawn chair and watch society fade away while this song plays.  As an idiosyncrasy, I would like to use this track in The Purge (2013). It would make for a humorous fixture, and the chaos would be sound tracked by something unique. Sig And The Fire Pilots are pushing the envelope of a genre forgotten. Listen to their single and follow them, for they are just getting started.

Motihari Brigade-Reality Show
4 h : 23 min

Motihari Brigade have been tantalising music senses in a cinematic way for years now. Their music is a classic disposition and warm analysis of a certain dystopia. A topic like that, is going to sound like doom, naturally. This band doesn’t do it in the natural way. Their attention to the groove is much more. This is from their Algorithm and Blues album. Here is your premier to Reality Show. Who doesn’t like a reggae groove? One of the most recognisable and danceable tunes in the planet, Motihari Brigade help to hide the axe with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It is this Orwellian setting, where you’re diving deeper into things like a certain product like Vision Pro. Now, we’ve had our fair share of warnings, yet we head down the same path. Might as well have a song about it. The style is to be enjoyed as the whole album integral, for they are a dynamic bunch. Each song has a different spice to it, something that very few bands can boast. Pay attention to the lyrics, and a smile might come on your face due to the effective prophecy that seems to be unfolding. Nothing to do now but get your tanner bed out. Motihari Brigade have been changing tides since their 2020 album, Power from Below. This song particularly would be great on The Truman Show (1998). You can find their singles on Spotify, but I urge you to listen to them as albums, for the sake of the narrative. Follow them and make sure you listen to their single above! Don't forget to watch their amazing short film in the attached YouTube link as well!

3 h : 35 min

Hope you have your hammocks hung because François Marius is on a mission to have you relaxing and grooving with Ça Roule Rastaman, his latest release. He exudes so much rizz, it honestly has you fanning yourself by the end of it. He places you in the heart of Jamaica. Reggae music is not only popular but is also thriving in the French music scene. So thank you François for introducing me to French reggae music.  The infectious island breeze is alive and thriving within this track, accentuated by the pulsing bass line and François’ gritty vocals. He automatically has you feeling the music in your chest and it spreads to your arms and even your lips, you can’t help but have a stupid grin on your face by the end of it. Everything comes together like a celebration right from the percussion, to the guitar, the sax and of course, the cool-as-a-cucumber delivery by François. The way the background singers interact with François has comradery pumping in your veins. The song is a true celebration of reggae.  A film that truly took the audience on a wild journey was Guava Island. Ça Roule Rastaman is screaming to be added to this legendary film. The playlist on the film is already a banger, (I mean you have Donald Glover and Rihanna as your leads, what more can you expect?) but the track would surely fit like a glove in here. So get ready for François Marius as you turn up the volume on this reggae gem. Cloud Ray - Burn It Down
2 h : 45 min

Cloud Ray just released his latest single- Burn It Down and it already has over 20,000 plays on spotify. He’s clearly out to conquer the world. The track is a sizzling blend of pop and reggae, when I tell you that the vibes are immaculate, you must trust me! Every second is a step into a party island where you leave the real world behind and all you have is a technicolored world. Can you share the inspiration behind your new song "Burn It Down" and how it relates to your personal experiences or emotions? What inspired me to write “Burn It Down” was the nostalgic feeling I received from listening to the production. It took me back to a time when artists like Sean Paul, Kevin Lyttle, Vybez Kartel, and Rupee dominated playlists at backyard barbeques, parties, and even on boardwalks. Those experiences have really lessened over the past few years due to the pandemic, and I wanted to breathe life and energy back into these culturally important moments with “Burn It Down” as more people are coming back outside for the good weather. The trade of the Craftsman- Cloud Ray The feel-good energy of the song is truly irresistible. As the beats enters your ear, it drops straight to your hips and before you know it, your hips have a mind of its own. Ray must have had magic at the tips of his fingers as he wrote the song. This is because he successfully takes us to a whole new place by the beach with this number. Could you walk us through the creative process behind the songwriting of "Burn It Down"? The creative process behind the songwriting of “Burn It Down” begins with my producer Treadway showing me multiple songs that he had in his vault, and this one track, in particular, stood out to me dramatically. He explained to me the track was unfinished, but I believed it was ready to go. I took the track and brought it back to him two days later with lyrics and a demo for him to listen to. I started writing the song with the chorus and felt eager to attack sexy yet rhythmic melodies that connected with my Caribbean roots. When I originally brought the song back to Treadway to listen to, I sang throughout the whole song, from each verse to the chorus. Treadway suggested to me that it didn’t feel like a Cloud Ray song and recommended I incorporate more hip-hop into it. This led me to change the lyrics around in both verses, and the final product became more rap-influenced in both parts of the song.    The journey of the song Were there any specific challenges you faced while either writing or recording the song? Some of the challenges I faced while writing and recording the song were meeting deadlines. There are so many things in life that we don’t have control over, and sometimes we just have to submit to them while ensuring we do the best we can on our end. Organization is key to ensuring that deadlines are kept and met to reach your ultimate goal. Even though delays may occur, never stop pushing to reach your goal, even if the process of getting it done doesn't go how you expected it would. The Pro in Production The production on this track is truly immaculate. You hear Ray’s voice take over the world here. You also hear just how much character the instrumentals add to the song to a large extent as well. Showing us the technique that is required to write the perfect song, much like Burn It Down. Many listeners interpret songs differently. What do you hope listeners will take away from "Burn It Down"? I hope the listeners will feel this song's energy and allow it to permeate throughout their lives. For example, if you are listening to this song and you feel like dancing, just do it! Be like Nike! I hope whether my listeners are in good weather for a season or year-round, “Burn It Down” becomes a go-to song that uplifts and unifies gatherings of people.   Collaboration can often enrich creative work. Is there any such collaboration that has stayed with you? Who would you like to collaborate with in the future? “Burn It Down” has been my most prominent collaboration. It is a collaborative work between myself, Treadway, and Daniel Thomas. Both of whom are extremely talented producers and musicians. In the future, I would love to collaborate with Tems. I also see myself collaborating with Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and J. Cole. The two Ls- Listeners and Love for Cloud Ray    The track clearly has a connection with the listeners. Cloud Ray is the performer of our time. He creates and holds a high-energy track for the entire time you are plugged in. You can’t look away from this gem that he has given us. The track plops you at the the heart of a celebration and it is positive energy that surrounds your senses. In the music industry, visuals and storytelling are somewhat crucial to a song's impact. How do you plan to integrate visuals, such as music videos or live performances, to enhance the audience's connection to "Burn It Down"? Visuals and storytelling are absolutely crucial to a song’s impact in this industry because they will take you as a listener and a viewer from point “A“ to point “Z” in an artist's musical journey. When I perform “Burn It Down” live, you can expect me to perform with a live band to emphasize the already grand Soca feeling in the studio track. You can also expect to see live dancers that entice you to take part in the cultural Caribbean dances. As far as a music video is concerned, it has already been requested by many, so you may see a “Burn It Down” visual coming soon to your most favoured streaming platforms.  What does the future hold?    What’s in store next? Is this, perhaps, the start of a new album? In the near future, I am preparing for a year’s worth of music releases, lots of content, and multiple upcoming tours. You can definitely expect to see Cloud Ray around the United States, and just over the horizon, I may be dropping another body of work. Make sure you stay tuned into my website, cloudraymusic.com, where you can subscribe for the most exclusive content and the latest updates from me! The track is filled to the brim with personality Much like Girl’s Trip. You can imagine the song playing as the girls are partying in New Orleans. The track is top-notch with its impeccable production and A-grade lyrics and performance by Cloud Ray. It is dynamic, exciting and most importantly and for sure chart topper. Ray is out there creating more such songs by the end of the year. So let him ignite the party fire within you, all you gotta do is press the play button and follow the links attached above.

Exploding Pig-Bob Marley Had a Shooting Range
2 h : 29 min

Exploding Pig is a confluence of cultures that have defined music. There is a purpose and surreal combination of moments that brings their music to life. The way they simplify genres like jazz while still retaining the spirit promises an exciting experience. Here is the title of their latest single, my favourite in a long time, after their band name of course. This is Bob Marley Had a Shooting Range.  So they do what you would with a core essence, like Marley’s name being associated with a song. They reggae it up. Exploding Pig (insert chuckle) give us a pastry of flavours and layers based around the reggae, but very different. The groove is too deep to not acknowledge, and you’ll find yourself bobbing to the song. Arrangements transition smooth enough to sit back with your joint/edibles. As long as you’re feeling this music, go to any lengths to satiate your mellow. God knows, superb music like this always helps. This has already become their most streamed track, for good reason. Exploding Pig, you have a fan in me. Also, all these fans of wanting to experience music that transcends genres and styles to create a unique fingerprint.  You must check out singles like 6 Inch Slippers, Burt Reynolds Once Told Me and The Juice Strikes Back among others. Apart from having brilliant song titles, I feel their single would be perfect in The Nice Guys (2016). Their vibes match Shane Black’s quirky direction style, with a lot of pockets for observation. Listen to this fantastic band above and make sure you follow them for some expressive, experimental euphoria!

Brian Lambert - Wild
32 h : 37 min

Brian Lambert, the Friendly Neighborhood Rock and Roller, has unleashed his latest musical masterpiece, 'Wild,' and it's nothing short of a sonic adventure. This 9-song album kicks off with a hard-hitting title track that draws inspiration from grunge music while infusing it with an alt-rock twist. 'Wild' takes listeners on a journey that often ventures into classic prog territory, clocking in at over 32 minutes of pure musical innovation. This album is a captivating addition to Lambert's already impressive discography. The title track, 'Wild,' sets the tone with its gritty and unapologetic sound. Lambert's vocals, as always, are a force to be reckoned with, carrying the weight of the lyrics effortlessly. The fusion of grunge and alt-rock elements creates a unique sonic landscape that keeps you hooked from the first note to the last. One of the standout tracks on the album is 'Don't Tease the Zombies,' a groovy masterpiece that experiments with electronic soundscapes reminiscent of the works of new wave reggae artists like The Gorillaz. Lambert's ability to seamlessly blend genres is on full display here, creating a track that's both infectious and thought-provoking. A Collection of Exceptional Tributes The cover of 'Clint Eastwood,' originally by Murdock, Noodles, and co., is a delightful surprise on the album. Lambert and his band breathe new life into this iconic song, infusing it with their unique energy and style. It's a testament to Lambert's artistry that he can make a classic track feel fresh and exciting. 'Breed,' a Nirvana cover, receives a modern post-grunge twist on this album. What sets this rendition apart is the captivating harmonic bed that underpins the track. The mix of 'Breed' is nothing short of exceptional, with a well-defined stereo field that immerses the listener in a three-dimensional sonic experience. The balanced frequency spectrum ensures that every instrument shines without overpowering the others, creating a perfect sonic harmony. Album Review: Brian Lambert's 'Wild' - A Sonic Adventure Through Time and Space Listening to 'Wild' feels like being transported to the soundtrack of two sci-fi comedies from the 80s - "Back to the Future" and "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." The album's ability to capture the spirit of these iconic films adds another layer of nostalgia and excitement to the listening experience. In the realm of contemporary TV series of the mystery genre, the darker side of 'Wild' would find a perfect fit in the likes of "The Sinner." The album's ability to evoke a sense of mystery and intrigue aligns seamlessly with the show's narrative. 'Wild' by Brian Lambert is not just an album; it's a journey through time and space, a sonic exploration that bridges the past and the present. Lambert's commitment to pushing musical boundaries and his unwavering dedication to his craft shine through in every note. In the ever-evolving indie music scene, Lambert remains a true rock and roll hero for the modern age. The latest release by the songwriter is a testament to his musical prowess. A reminder that he continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the music world. In conclusion, as we groove to the tunes of 'Wild,' we can only anticipate the next chapter in Brian Lambert's musical journey, eagerly awaiting the magic he'll conjure next.

Katchafire - Seriously (Revived Version)
3 h : 28 min

Katchafire’s “Seriously (Revived Version)” is like a warm hug with a sly wink—it pulls you in with its easy reggae rhythm, then throws you off balance just enough to keep you hooked. The track grooves along like it’s on autopilot but stumbles here and there, creating these deliciously unsettling moments that make you wonder: am I vibing, or am I questioning my entire life’s choices? The lyrics? Pure reggae soul food. Lines like “Seriously, give me another one…” and “I know what you’ve been through…” feel like they’re speaking directly to that little part of you that’s still holding back. It’s like the song is standing there with open arms, saying, “Hey, it’s okay, come join the party,” while also knowing you’re hesitating at the door. But don’t get too comfy. Just when you think you’ve settled into the groove, those rhythms wobble and swerve, sprinkling a touch of unease into the warmth. It’s like dancing on a boat—you’re swaying to the beat, but the waves keep you on your toes. That tension only makes it more satisfying when you let go and lean into the movement. This track practically begs for a cinematic moment. Picture it in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, soundtracking one of those scenes where the protagonist finally steps out of their shell and takes a wild leap into the unknown. It’s the equivalent of jumping into a pool without testing the water temperature—and realizing it’s exactly what you needed. “Seriously (Revived Version)” is classic Katchafire: smooth, soulful, and just experimental enough to keep things interesting. It’s a groove-laden pep talk with a side of funky uncertainty. Dare to dive in—you might just love the ride.
