Also, can we speak about how nicely they’ve used the electric guitar and drums in the track? They have the perfect formula for a chart- going for them- the right amount of guitar, drums and vocals. The duo has us on our toes and hooked from start to finish. The way they play with pace, tension between instruments and synth is so interesting. They do all this and they manage to make all this technique sound fun throughout.  A film that holds the same amount of fun, intensity and joy is Ratatouille. Fallen Letters - Remain A Memory
3 h : 30 min

Fallen Letters have come to us with the most picturesque expression of past love - Remain A Memory. Their first-ever single is a dynamic tapestry of beats that has excellence in its very fabric. While this is the first-ever song to come out of Fallen Letters, Vishal Naidu and Aditya Ramesh have collaborated before. The Bangalore-based duo have a very unique understanding of their craft that is reflected in their song. The duo break away from conventions with their beat arrangement. This a Alt-Rock number is a beast of its own Remain A Memory is a soulful rock journey that leaves you with a plethora of images. The track follows the journey of a lover after the end of a relationship. It begins with an audio message left by an ex-lover and as soon as the line ends, the vocals pick up. Slowly the instrumentals creep in, adding to the atmosphere. And before you know it, we are in the thick of emotions. The track elicits a feeling of drowning, right from the whisper growls to the blasting instrumentals. It is a 3D listen for sure! The excellent production work on this track makes for the perfect canvas for your imagination to paint on. This feeling of spiraling that the track emits would work wonderfully in In Time. The film is a rare gem that was experimental on a whole new level and it only makes perfect sense that Remain A Memory gets added into the playlist. Moon and Aries - Don’t Feed The Demons
3 h : 30 min

Moon and Aries have released their latest single- Don’t Feed The Demons and it is the song of the hour. They have their trade mark out-of-this-world vibes going on in this new release but they have incorporated some new techniques that give this song an edge in the market. The track makes you feel almost weightless and swoops you away. They seem to be the vessels that lift off of the conscious world and transport you to the unconscious. They hold a mirror to your mind and ask you not to give into the weakness, not give into the demons.  The track is a slow breeze that has you close your worldly eyes and open your third eye. It gives you a peak into the infrastructure of your subconscious with every word that is sung. This song however has a lot more pop than their previous release and honestly, I’m not mad. She sings of not feeding the demons and this could be anything, the demons in your head related to yourself or even an ex-lover. With a world that seems hell-bent on burning itself to ashes, the song comes as an instruction manual for the unaware.  With so much packed into one song, it deserves to be in a film that packs as much punch. A film with everything is Lucy and this track would work brilliantly in the film. If you haven’t heard the work of Moon and Aries before, click on the links attached above and explore away with the future of Indie music.

Dame Zina - Eau
6 h : 28 min

Dame Zina is a father-daughter duo that released their latest single- Eau, the melody fills your chest with a melody that thumps through your heart. She likes to write about girl power and act while he likes gritty synth and convoluted drums. The chemistry that these two have shines through every inch of the song. The track is a magical experience that has you believing in music's ability to transport you to another realm.  The track begins with some feisty and strong music as the French singer makes her entrance. And to say that her voice sounds heavenly would be an understatement. They create a whole realm with their music and you see it form layer by layer with the guitar. And you can see Dame Zina walk above all this chaos of creation on a tightrope. You see her hold balance as she exudes equilibrium through her voice. The music is eerily magical and mystical owing to the grungy electric guitar and grounding drums. You feel the sky and earth come together with their music. I guess you can say that their music has the ability to unite the forces of nature.  This magic within the song makes it the perfect match for Wednesday. Especially because the series also pays such close attention to the father-daughter relationship. So id you want to listen to some gripping grunge fairy-like music, I highly suggest you hit that play button. Eau by Dame Zina open our eyes where colors will fly off the papers and walls only to zoom you to a world beyond your imagination.

Fallen Letters - Forlorn Pages
23 h : 23 min

Fallen Letters are on a roll, they have released their first ever EP- Forlorn Pages and it is a dreamy dystopian rock journey. Rock as a genre is fascinating and tends to elicit a plethora of emotions and textures with every chord. The dynamic duo- Vishal Naidu and Aditya Ramesh, have given us a smoke-laced number that draws its essence from the elements of rock, metal and experimental genres. Forlorn Pages is a shot that is a concoction of the most ethereal embers of the psyche. They have given us the perfect storm that shakes the tectonic plates of the heart.  For A While with Fallen Letters The 30-second Prologue builds the perfect suspense of what is to come. The ambience in the track is what really sets the stage. And in a flash, we are herded into For A While. It begins with their staple guitar section. It seems to be the backbone of the song and it only flourishes with intensity as the song picks up pace. The theme of the album is balming old wounds. The wounds of a very particular heartbreak that is beautifully delivered by the hazy voice of Vishal Naidu. Relapse  Relapse is where they switch things up with the ambience. They give us more eerie and suspense at the beginning. They shave away at the haze and give us more precise and distinct notes. Notes that emit feelings of certainty that aren’t all that wise. The production of this album is excruciatingly detailed. They have moulded this track with incredible definition. We go from flowy and hazy sounds to more deeper and intense sounds. The guitar sections in this track are what take the cake. They give us so much variety that is seamlessly tucked away between sections until the crescendo.  Beneath The Opaque Veil Beneath The Opaque Veil is what I suspect will be the listener's favorite. The track is filled with a phenomenal amount of drama. Within the first minute of the song, we move from mellow to a wrecking ball hurling at you. And all this by just the strings and by the time the drums se kick in, the beat rumbles and roars in your chest. All of this brings in some eerie vocals that slowly swell and engage in this surreal dance with the instrumental that leaves a scene rich with imagery. The duo swirls and carefully spins your emotions in a tango where you struggle to find your feet. There is no use trying to figure out what is to come, they have filled the album with so many sparks of surprises. There is no option but to submit to the music. A film that deeply moved the crowds is Gus Van Sant's Last Days and Forlorn Pages match the exact energy of the film to the T. They give us a rainbow of very human emotions that keep us on our toes. If you are as eager as us, you can click on the links attached above to learn more about what Fallen Letters are up to.

Moon and Aries - Slow Motion
3 h : 39 min

Moon and Aries have always added a star to the musical world with every new release like their latest one- Slow Motion. The world that they build is truly unique. It’s celestial as if they hand-pick stars and weave them into their songs. The result of which a guiding light of a song and this time they have incorporated pop and slow jazz-like elements. The fact that they have impeccable chemistry without physically being in the same space and can be so in sync is marvellous.  Slow Motion starts off smooth reeling us in effortlessly with this Caribbean-esque style beats. The lead singer in this duo- Jordana Moon has delivered a lush and laid back performance leading us to also relax in the presence of her ethereal vocals. Generally, their music is incredibly moving- there is passion and conviction that gives the duo the edge. But this time, they have shifted things up a bit. The slow pop texture in the song has us grooving while also levitating in another realm altogether. It begins with a slow playful tune that invites us to engage with their work playfully. Which is a refreshing exploration of this dynamic duo.  If there is ever a remake of Butterflies Are Free, then Slow Motion would work wonderfully. The song fits the free-spirited nature of the characters within this play-turned-film. Moon and Aries have been consistently releasing new music and each one better than the other. They are one of the few musicians who give us both quality and quantity with their work. So if you haven't explored their music yet then what are you doing?
