Think of this: You are at the club. The song that plays next has you jumping on your toes. You look around the room for your friends, and suddenly a sizzle of electricity crashes down your spine. You make eye contact with a stranger on the floor. The tune pulls you in for a dance. The song playing in the background: Rose Garden by Maria Lang.

Mira Sthira-Snow Cave
4 h : 1 min

Mira Sthira is the architect of a fantastical world of sound. With layers of inspiration juxtaposed to form her sound, it is now unmistakably hers. Traversing new universes seems easy for an artist like this-someone who wants to create a new reality for themselves. This is the newest portal to this realm. It comes in the form of her latest single, Snow Cave. Like the super hit single from Edward Maya, the beat that constricts this single has a dance core. Synth accents pulsate with the beat, bringing a sonic effervescence that is powered by Mira Sthira and her sensational voice. For this single, she collaborates with Fantastical Emporium of Sound-bringing depth and new meaning to the rhythm she creates. The edge she has is a sharp and attuned one, a leap from her single from 2021, The Woods. You can see how she is trying to stretch the membrane of her comfort and sound to include a fuller, more dynamic effect. This song could be a defining element in films like Ready Player One and even Ghost in the Shell. It shakes up the visual world constructed by the protagonist, and pushes them to a state of thought while in action. It has a ridiculously catchy rhythm which manifests through the energy of the vocalist. Mira Sthira has just begun her journey, and we seem to be counting milestones now. Check out her singles like Weird Girl and Lizard Pop if you enjoyed this song. Expect something different and exciting every time with an artist like this. Be sure to follow her for more music!

Nicky Buell-The Gay Agenda!
31 h : 25 min

You might be one of those poor sods who wonders, what is the gay agenda. Is it radical? What is the part I play in it? Nicky Buell has the answer, and its in the form of an album. With 11 ridiculously catchy songs that drive the point home, there’s no way you’ll not enjoy this album. Let’s dive into, The Gay Agenda! Opening the album with Camp, Nicky shows us the range of his melodic pipes. The balance is in bracing what is to come. With a mostly ambient background intro and harmonics, you’re completely thrown off with his catchy lyrics and vocal execution. There is a balance of electronic artistry and Nicky bringing his stylish vocals in different styles. Am I The Drama? creatively changes the tempo and temperature. There is a soothing salve within Nicky Buell’s voice. Anna Thompson collaborates on this track, trading verses and distributing the voice uniquely, especially the varying rhythms. Gross brings one of my favourite grooves to the fore, Nicky Buell navigating these with grace and impressive charm. His vocals slide into falsetto whenever, and he brings it for every performance. His switches into electric effects and layering are immensely catchy and draw you away into a new vibe. Dance like you own it Oh Boy! Is the kind of romance song you wished you wrote. If it’s Nicky Buell’s fantasy, this specific man has got him infatuated, all caps. As you surf through, this track-you suddenly feel in studio for Bad B*tch. The vocals themselves have a chained swing, and with the funky core, you’ll be dancing in no time. That’s the hallmark of all his tracks, you won’t be just sitting and listening to them. Hips won’t lie. Boy Crazy has a smoother, whiskey kind of quality. The disco softness exists, along with the pop bounce you find in his other songs. That chorus is etched in my mind, thanks Nicky. Bromance-The Gayer Version swings with some more lyrical tributaries. The way he delivers the vocals and navigates the instrumental punctuations are unlike any other artist. Billy Eichner should have dared with a solid A+ soundtrack like this for his movie, Bros. From the lyrics to the joyous instrumentals to listen to, dancing with the vocals-this was the kick the audience needed. Oxytocin pumps in more than your fair share of the chemical to the brain, and soul. It is a proper party track, from the chorus to how it organically builds as well. The percussions won't be lost, they give the pulsing thump which is this songs' spine. Synthetic explores different sound, time and style signatures with Nicky’s vocals. You hear his voice with that raw power you remember, and it gets better with each swell. There's no slowing down I Love U takes a whole new route. It has a new-ballad feeling. The harmonics, strings and Chainsmokers styled chord pushes really pepper this track and spice it up like it needs. The contrast is incredible to listen to. As we close out with Why?, you can relook at the kind of experience Nicky Buell has given you. From romance and broken hearts, to party feels and attitude breaks, this album had it all. Maybe that’s why it was called The Gay Agenda! Either way, Nicky has established himself as a sonic powerhouse, so follow him for more music that kicks the seats back!

Gunnar's expertise in creating a carefully crafted stereo field is evident, with layers of instrumentation unfolding across the soundstage. This attention to detail enhances the immersive quality of the music, making it an engaging experience for the audience. In conversation with the artist: 1 > Walk us through your songwriting process including your biggest influences for the track. I had written little pieces of music that I kept on my iPhone. Then I went to look at this piece of song later and I still found it very catchy and decided to keep trying to finish writing more and in the end I finished the song but some parts were more difficult than others and it took a while to finish the part. When it came to the arrangement, I wanted this song to be in some sort of 80's style, and I think I succeeded very well. 2 > How did the time spent in the studio help evolve the track into what it turned out to be? Which genre would you put the track in? The soundtrack work took about 12 hours to record, arrange, mix and master. This song is an authentic 80's song with a good free beat that makes people dance. 3 > What are your views on the rise of indie electronica in the global landscape thanks to streamingservices? I think a streaming service is very good for the whole music industry, it's easier for musicians to present their music, because here in the past it was only radio play that was the main thing and it's not easy at all to get radio play for artists and bands so I'm happy that there is a streaming service. 4 > Where can fans expect to see you perform next in the upcoming weeks? I myself am mainly a songwriter and composer, so I don't perform much in public, but the ones who will perform my new Christmas song Cosynight in December, Rakel Pálsdóttir and Kjalar, are pop stars here in Iceland and they have come to perform. 5 > Talk to us a little about Eyðibýli. How did thinking as a bass player influence the cinematicapproach to its songwriting? I wanted to make very epic music with a bit of drama and I thought abandoned farm was very suitable for that I need to describe some kind of rural romance in a dramatic and beautiful way! Gunnar collaborates with Rakel Páls for the track. She is a singer/songwriter from Iceland who started singing and performing at an early age. Rakel focuses on pop and jazz music. Also lending his expertise is Kjalar. "KÓSÝKVÖLD Í DES" would be a perfect fit for the soundtrack of movies that blend dance and comedy. Imagine the track enhancing the vibrant and quirky atmosphere of "Strictly Ballroom," infusing the dance sequences with its energetic beats. Alternatively, the song could seamlessly complement the humor and wit of "In Bruges," adding an indie music scene touch to the film's soundtrack.
