Aurora By Noon-Black Crosses In The Sun
4 h : 8 min

Aurora By Noon always deliver raucous rock. With an album out, full of killer riffs, tones and lyrics-they are just beginning. The sound, however, is of a mature rock band tackling the human psyche with music. Which genre would voice the thinking mind better than vivid, explosive rock? This is their single from the album titled the same, Black Crosses in the Sun.  If you haven’t already, I’d urge you to listen to the album, in chronological order, preferably. With the tones of alt-rock being stretched thin till now, Aurora By Noon recreate a new, burgeoning sound from the ashes and deliver it to us. The title track is the second track on the album. With the arpeggiated chord opening, you get the attack you pray for 30 seconds in. It is an echoing, powerful track. No straining changes in tempo, tones, and the delivery is tight. From the clean to the distorted, you get rock like you’d remember it on the radio. The second time around, Aurora By Noon treat the verse with a little more pepper, kicking it into 5th gear with the chorus. It is a melodic roller coaster, emotional yet driving the essence with every note.  I’d have loved to have heard this in the second season of Sons of Anarchy. The powerful tones, melodic vocals and arpeggio patterns incite superb images. Scenes from the series would come together beautifully. Aurora are preparing for some more fresh music soon, and I, for one, cannot wait. Listen to their debut album and their single with us and keep those horns in the sky!

Aurora by Noon : “In the Shelter of Mother Earth” Review: A Modern Anthem of Resilience in the Face of Adversity “In the Shelter of Mother Earth” would find its perfect cinematic counterpart in movies like “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “The Road,” where characters fight for survival in post-apocalyptic, dying worlds. The raw intensity of the song’s soundscapes mirrors the desperation and resilience of those struggling to persevere in the face of overwhelming odds.
