Attic Theory-Papier-Mâché
3 h : 48 min

Attic Theory are game changers in the indie rock sound. They have constantly been awarded as one of the best rock bands to come out of Liverpool in recent years. They are a definitive look at how grunge and rock has evolved to become what it is now. Their latest single with Kevin Martin of Candlebox aims to give you that same shiver down your spine. This will be your favourite genre as a sensation. This is their latest single, Papier-Mâché.  The soft opening might be as misleading as it is a gentle rivulet to the waterfall. When the verse kicks in, there are no holds barred. Oceanic waves of distorted guitar along with kick-ass rhythm sections bring the house down. If you loved the tones and energy of their single Narrow Lines, this feeds a white-hot energy that you’ve missed in your rock playlists. The chorus reminds us how stellar the vocals sound, with precision centred production quality. The “woo-hoo” in the chorus along with some really well executed harmonics makes this single one of their best in terms of how a stadium rock track would sound. I’d also like to gush about the solo, tailored to the song as well as something you can sing along to. The heist movie The Bank Job (2008) would be an awesome base for this song. Known for the fast-paced action sequences, the deception scenes would be ideal for this track. You can check out more Attic Theory with their revived, refined rock energy. Make sure you follow them and support them by giving their explosive songs a listen!

Attic Theory-What We Fear the Most
46 h : 55 min

Attic Theory deliver rock like it is their last show. It is the complete dedication and love they have for the genre that can be heard in every album. Just like the others, their latest album beats with an adrenaline juiced pump. Decaffeinate for a day and then see you here. Overload begins with their new album, What We Fear the Most.  If you want to see a band treat a recording like a live show, Attic Theory is the way to go. The rock band from Liverpool have already showcased their rage in The Sign of an Active Mind. This is here to turn the knobs. I have never had so many action movie scenes flash in front of me. Instead of gruelling screams coming in with the hard riff, melodic vocals and lyrics take the stand. It is one of my favourite riffs of the year, having that melodic metal touch to it as well. Attic Theory are making their arrival as evident as a meteor hurling towards Earth. If that is retribution, so be it.  Tattooed Heart might remind you of Incubus, the soft tones waiting with a hard knock to shake you off the lag. It is a kick-ass track, with more of a minimal flush on the chord progressions and vocals getting highlighted. Papier-Mâché is here to break the unassuming facade from people, while giving another beautiful riff. I love how much detail has gone into the production, to ensure the instrumentals don’t interfere with the thrill.  The band can perform the album in full, and it will be only full of “greatest hits”. Here comes Lewis Wright with his hypnotizing vocals, while the guitar army of Peter Donnelly, Tim Cunningham and Matt Lawler gives you the magical rhythm section you hear. Kenny McArthur on bass and Norm Walker on drums have ensured that they make their presence known, while latching to the grooves like the melody demons they are.  As we dig deeper, we get to the track Narrow Lines. Few bands perhaps have curated their release so well, to make sure they are touching upon the unexplored and individual layers of rock. Attic Theory has commendable chemistry, and each song peels away another “hardened shell”. It is the making of a band that knows how to give an electric performance, while creating visuals with their beautiful lyricism.  The acoustic numbers are lovely as well. Million Little Things is a stripped, honest song. It is like hearing Chris Cornell playing solo after a Soundgarden heavy treat. Unique because of how comfortable they are with themselves, this is the making of a legacy you witness.  This album would be perfect for season 5 of Sons of Anarchy, especially given the catchy riffs and superb execution. Rarely does a band achieve this level of credibility in my eyes so quick, but quality always shows. Listen to Attic Theory above and follow them for more that is sure to come!

Attic Theory-Dare to Dream
4 h : 20 min

The immense attack of Attic Theory comes from their sound. It is all the alt-rock fever of the 90s, with contemporary sensibilities. Their style is unapologetically theirs, and the topics they choose don’t imply a hussy fit. These are the things we think about on a regular basis. They put it all perfectly into a song. This one is called Dare to Dream.  The opening riff will show you the place it takes. The entire album is a bolt of lightning with the smell of thunder, but this is one of the most kick-ass tracks. It is the kind of full, well-thought of opening that grabs your attention. In the verse section, the band draws out into a much more soothing groove pocket with powerful vocals. What We Fear the Most has their debut compiled with the angst and energy of a generation-and this track is a bookmark in it. Dare to Dream explodes near the chorus to get your blood pumping, to get your spirit closest to being in a concert with these guys. Attic Theory are the live rock band that we need, and the boys from Liverpool do give it their all for every song. It is a reminder that passionate music sounds like the heart at its purest. The band doesn’t waste time in creating an image, their music has done it for them. Attic Theory have their debut music for the live tour they are on now, all over the UK. If you get a chance to see them, I highly recommend it. This would be a brilliant number for John Wick Chapter 4. Check out the single above!
