The Congregation-Soundtrack To The End of The World
2 h : 50 min

You should be able to have read this review in a minute tops. If you read, that is. I’m usually not in a hurry for you to get to that track embed at the end of this article, so I’m going to make it quick. The Congreation releases a new single, Soundtrack To The End of The World. Is it a rock song? So much more. Now put 50 seconds more on the clock, and lets go. From big-bill producers and monoliths of rock music production, The Congregation seems to have done his willing, according to his name. His latest track is a 2:50 second banger, opening with some preachers dialogue about how rock n roll is written by the devil himself. If its the temptation to headbang our heads right out of its socket, then yes, it was the devil. Satan-aide here makes that whole moment special, with a confounding sound of live instruments coming at you. With the power that the Foos released White Limo with, the channeled sins of Beelzebub have never sounded this great. I have about 20 seconds more. Hopefully, this build up is enough for you to lose your senses to this smashing song. It is truly the personification of a landslide, if it had a band. In case you want to hear how good the artist is, Welcome to the Congregation is your album to carry around. Truly a gift to all us minions. In case you’re wondering how great the song is, it works really well for the closing scene of Fight Club. Maybe as good as Where is My Mind? I'd love to see this song being used in one of the Thor films, as it really fits the energy and vibe! Check out the film here - https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/thor

Chase The River - Ghost
4 h : 9 min

Ghost is a special track that lets you view your past self and the way they functioned around an old flame as Chase The River, aka Stuart, holds your hand through it. The track is a collaboration between Stuart and Lauren White. Together, they bring up a concoction of fresh emotions that you thought you had forgotten. You taste layers and layers of experiences that you had buried away, which truly puts a smile on your face.  Ghost is an alternative Rock experience that dances between the lines of rock and post-brit-pop. The instrumental sensibility that ebbs and flows adds a sense of movement externally in the music and within the body as well. In a way, his voice helps connect the inside to the outside.  There is an immense amount of tenderness that is brought in by the vocals. This adds to the effect of almost holding and helping the past self through a breakup. Lauren’s voice has a constant presence in the track, even when she isn’t singing, you can feel her presence. It feels as though the duo are playing vocal contact improv, showing us their chemistry on full display.  The perfect film for this is Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. The film is incredibly nuanced, edgy (in a good way) and not to mention hilarious. Ghost feels like the perfect song to end the memory with Jenny (Jennifer Garner). Especially because she was his first and only love. Clearly, the song is all-encompassing. The track is bittersweet in the best way possible, it holds you, comforts you and it moves you all at once. If you want a doorway to more such songs, click on the links attached above and get lost with Chase The River.

Bromsen - Someone
3 h : 14 min

Bromsen woke up this new year and decided that their New Year resolution is to blow your mind with sounds and gave us Someone. The Duo is known for their excellent songwriting and performance ability and Somebody does not disappoint! Their ability to play around with beats and give us a sonic experience unlike anything out there is truly something to be admired.  Something about Bromsen screams cool but you can sit with us at the lunch table. Their music has a quality that piques your curiosity. They are the perfect mixture of the old and the new making their music both classic and modern. The duo has hit the nail on the head with creating music that is the right amount of edgy. And do not get me started on the guitar solo! It will have you feeling the music in your chest, leaving you breathless altogether. They play around with the arrangement and synth so much that you unlock a whole new world with every song they release.  The track would be the perfect fix in Oceans 8, especially the sequence where they are robbing the museum. Both the film and the song's sensibilities of precision and risk-taking are beautiful. My only complaint about these stars would be that they need to create tracks to satiate us. Cause they leave us hungry, craving and coming back for more. I bet you are left with wonder and curiosity as well. You can follow the links attached above to rid yourself of those feelings and replace them with elation.

King in Yellow - The Chelsea, At Night
4 h : 7 min

You are filled head to toe with electrifying energy as King in Yellow fills your ear with their latest release- The Chelsea, At Night. This track mixes classic rock and synth. So, technically it would fall into alternative rock. Making this an addition to the timeless list of songs out there in the world. The track truly allows you to gravitate toward the dance floor.   The song packs quite the punch as it begins with a strong and rampant guitar section. You hear this and you go “This, THIS will be my background song as I enter a room in slo-mo!”. The track gets into a steady jog with the drum section before we hear the vocals. When you do hear the song, you forget that you’ve only been listening to the intro beats so far. The track leaves you wanting more and more of it by the end of it. We hear such expert instrumentals and production techniques in the song, it’s no surprise that it has us reaching for the repeat button.  The Chelsea, At Night, is most definitely the best song to be added to the playlist of Kick-Ass. The film is Satire genius. When I tell you both the film and the band deserve so much more attention, I am not kidding. Their craftsmanship is untouchable. With King in Yellow out there, there is truly no competition, everyone can just retire. So do your bit to allow for quality art to spread and click and share the links attached above!
