Dylan Tauber has emblazoned his name in the independent EDM scene for some time now. It is evident from his music that he can give life back to machines, when he composes. On his 19th album, he returns to his love for water and waves in this incredible collection of sounds. This one is called Dolphin Waves 2.
If you haven’t listened to music by Dylan Tauber, I suggest you do so. This is just the best of the best, the finesse and polished material. From his early days, he has ensured what he composes is from a figment of love and care. He is an aficionado of nature, and this album proves it time and time again.
Love of Earth combines some beautiful vocals with a rising tide to get a sense of the tempo. Being an electronic musician, cyberartist, photographer, and author has helped him view art from so many angles, that it shows. After his opening positive anthem, we go to Dancing with Dolphins. Here, like their movement, he imitates a rhythm and tempo you can only see the sea mammals do. It is an immediate dance floor song, creating a punch with layers that will get you emotional.
His connection with colours is something I deeply resonate with. Dylan Tauber has so much experience composing, he practically colours the dance floor with life. When you’re listening to Green Lasers, there is an infinite rhythm of joy and happiness that comes from that spectrum.
There are moments as a musician where he inserts himself in the picture as well. Dylan Son of Waves Forever shows how his music resonates with this element of nature he loves. It is a powerful composition, one that shows you how much an artist can fall in love with Earth’s creations. His balanced music shows you that in a short moment, you can actually weave through a theme in detail. Careful execution shows Dylan Tauber constantly stretching the boundaries of EDM, adding more power and feel to his songs. It is exciting to hear an artist still be in love with exploring these wormholes of sound for making such interesting, all encompassing music. Dylan has truly given the genre multiple dimensions, and the indie music scene globally would always be indebted to him for that.
Though no specific movie would be a good fit for this, I think a contemporary offshoot of Waterworld would be great for this kind of album. It might not be a movie that exists, but working the other way around might be so rewarding. Listen to his music above and follow him for more songs like this. Dylan Tauber will always be the closest to bridging the gap between man and animal.
