Yorige, hailing from London, England, is a captivating duo consisting of singer-songwriter Aaron Fross and instrumentalist/producer Nix Bakx. Influenced by the likes of Dead Can Dance, Enya, and Tool, Yorige's music delves into the realms of alternative folk with a modern twist. Having recently performed at the main alternative music festival in Lithuania, Menuo Juodaragis, Yorige's unique sound is a fusion of traditional Baltic folk music and contemporary influences, making them a standout act in the music scene. On August 22nd, 2024, Yorige released their 'Motina' EP bonus tracks, adding new dimensions to their original EP. The bonus tracks, recorded and produced by Nix Bakx in their home studio, are a continuation of Yorige's exploration of folk music, offering a fresh take on traditional Lithuanian songs. With tracks like "Pulkun Pulkun" and "Palaisiu Pavu" embodying themes of war, wisdom, and human experience, Yorige's music is a heartfelt homage to their cultural roots while pushing the boundaries of folk music for a modern audience.
