Thickshake, aka Alex, is a solo artist who loves nothing more than writing a new song or playing a gig alongside mates. Being a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Alex took some time to learn as much of the ins-and-outs of mixing and mastering so that he could start producing his own music - all from the comfort of his own home music studio (or as it is otherwise known, the spare room downstairs). Thickshake's songs are bound by no particular choice of genre - drawing inspiration from Aussie bands like The Vanns and The Kite String Tangle, to international acts such as Coldplay, Blanks and Bon Iver - dabbling into both classic pop and contemporary song structures.
