STEFANOS BARBALIAS
Stefanos Barbalias is a songwriter, composer, performer, sound designer, and actor. He specializes in composing for video art projects, art installations, and dance productions. Additionally, he is known for his work in creating and performing multimedia theatre projects. He graduated from the Athens School of Drama "George Theodosiadis" in 2000 and completed his music studies in piano, guitar, and electronic music production. He is also a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. The projects he has collaborated on as a composer and sound designer have been presented at prominent venues, including the Venice Biennale, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, the Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Documentary Film Festival of Thessaloniki, the Onassis Cultural Centre, the Hellenic American Union, Dino Morra Arte Contemporanea, the Prague Biennale, and Greek National Television. Stefanos Barbalias has channelled his untamed spirit into creating an acoustic folk project to share his thoughts and emotions with the world. To date, he has released three EPs and one single: Out of Faith (2024) Lullaby for Two (2023) Shark in a Pool (2022) EP 5 - Nocturne (2017) Since returning from Scotland, where he performed live for seven consecutive days at Edinburgh's infamous Fringe Festival, he has been working on his upcoming debut album, which will be announced very soon.
