Marion Sophia Dyrvik
Surrounded by sparklingly mountain peaks and abstruse fjords, Marion Sophia was raised to love music and its inexplicable power to transcend time, space, gender and language. By the age of nine she was interpreting songs and writing her own versions of them, as well as writing original poems and music in both Norwegian and English. Always mindful of lyrical content, Marion’s melodic indie pop ranges from smooth, soulful confessions and heartfelt, aggressive displays of emotion - often within the same song. Her expression is one based on contrast, originating in her mystical Northern heritage and continuing throughout her explorations of the world, of beauty and art and of meaningful connections.
