Malena Boccadoro
Singer-songwriter Malena Boccadoro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has lived in Florida for most of her life. She grew up surrounded by music—it runs rampantly in her family. Malena is self-taught in guitar, piano, and ukulele. She started writing her own songs at the age of sixteen and hasn't stopped since—as an introvert girl, she found in music a middle ground where her mind and reality could finally meet. Her debut single, "Novocaine" is a crisp, guitar-based pop song that speaks to all who have experienced having a difficult time connecting to other people. In a very young and fresh songwriting style, she uses the anesthetic drug Novocaine as a metaphor for a numbed heart that is looking for emotional relief. Malena was encouraged to record it by her grandfather, who is a legend in the Latin Music industry for over 40 years. Shortly after, she worked in the studio with producers Spencer Bradham and Steven Clarke and recorded it at Clear Track Studios in Clearwater, FL.
