JRTA is a self-produced electronic solo artist, recording and producing from his 11th-floor studio apartment. Music is his daily pursuit, serving as his sanity and his reason for living. He loves it deeply and finds nothing else quite like it. Making music is literally what keeps him going. Inspired by MTV, he spent the first half of his life determined to become a rock star. During the 90s he played bass, and sang in a band in Kansas City. When the band dissolved, he transitioned to electronic music production. He worked as a record promoter, owned a national booking agency, and performed regionally in the Midwest. He has at least 20 unreleased songs and creates new music faster than he can release it. He plans to begin playing live shows again soon. He also did some wild things that he needs to consult with a lawyer about before sharing the full story.
