"Light and Shade" marks the highly anticipated second album from Scottish Festival Favourites, Have Mercy Las Vegas. The album is set to debut at the Denny Civic Theatre in Dumbarton on March 9, preceding its digital release on March 12. With tickets selling swiftly, the launch promises a sold-out crowd, with two-thirds of the seats already claimed. True to its name, the album seamlessly transitions between the lively, toetapping barn dances the band is renowned for, and ventures into darker, more ominous territory. While firmly rooted in the Folk/Americana genre, traces of blues origins shine through more prominently than in their previous works. Recorded and mastered by Jamie Savage at Chem-19 Studios, this albumboasts a noticeably more sophisticated and mature sound. Every aspect, from songwriting to musicianship and harmonies, has evolved to a higher level, while still retaining the unmistakable essence of Have Mercy Las Vegas.
