Groove Moose
Groove Moose was born in August 2010, deep in the cow-dotted countryside of Milledgeville, GA, where three musicians found themselves with nothing to do but make music. What started as a fun jam session quickly evolved into a band—until, like all good stories, it hit pause. After a few years of dormancy, Groove Moose roared back to life in 2017 with a new drummer and a renewed energy, ready to write, record, and take the stage once again. Fast forward to 2024, and the Moose has grown into a full-blown funk-rock powerhouse. The addition of Silly Sills (Arkose) on sax, Keith White on trumpet, and Campbell McKinzie on keys and guitar has supercharged their already electric sound. Throw in frequent collaborations with Hannah Zale and Carly Gibson of the Pussywillows, plus impromptu jams with members of other bands, and every Groove Moose show becomes an unpredictable, high-energy experience. One thing’s for sure—when you step into a Groove Moose gig, you never know exactly what you’re going to get. But one rule remains constant: Feed the Moose.
