Deborah Fitz
Raised on a combination of hits from the swinging 60s and Irish trad, County Down, Northern Ireland based singer-song writer Deborah Fitz has been reared with music in her blood. Her father Damien Fitzsimons who was the bassist in the 70’s/80’s international band Purple Haze and later in his career, the popular Irish Folk band ‘Red Biddy’ instilled in Deborah a passion for playing, gigging and making music. Already immersed in the music scene through performing with her father, from the young age of 14, Deborah has shared her talent in the pubs and clubs across Northern Ireland and performed in the 1st International singer song-writer competition in Derry Her style is inspired by a wide genre of musicians including Adele, Ed Sheeran, Etta James, Sam Cooke, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, The Eagles and The Cranberries. Propelled by the passing of her father in Feb 2023, Deborah has been inspired to continue in his footsteps through embracing & pursuing her career in music. Motivated by her father’s advice to follow her dreams and never give up, Deborah’s first single ‘The Gem’ is an ode to his loving memory.
