Crissi Cochrane

Windsor-based singer-songwriter Crissi Cochrane brings soulful pop with jazz, retro influences, and classic Detroit soul into her music, shaped by her Nova Scotian roots. She is known for her silky vocals and adept songwriting, spending over two decades building her niche in Canada’s independent music scene. Cochrane has released six albums and EPs, with her 2014 record Little Sway earning over 12 million Spotify streams. She has performed with artists like Walk Off The Earth, Jesse Cook, and Sarah Harmer, and performed at festivals like Canadian Music Week, Halifax Pop Explosion, and Bluesfest Windsor. She has also co-founded Soul City Music Co-op in Windsor, where she actively supports a grassroots, artist-led model for sustainable music careers. Her work has been featured on ABC’s Nashville and in independent films, and her 2018 TEDx talk Love Songs For Hire explored her experience writing 70+ custom songs for people worldwide. Backed by grants from FACTOR, the Ontario Arts Council, and others, Cochrane continues to grow. Her new EP Fire Sign will arrive in spring 2026, led by the singles “Meet Me at Malden” and “Black Wasp.”
