1000 Year Flood
At the end of 2019, and on the precipice of a global pandemic, three regular "Dads" got together. Each of these family men had a single son in second grade…bonding was easy. The years that came after were not. As the Covid-19 era ushered in, Scott, Joe, and Carlos kept each other sane by quarantining their families together and creating new music from their diverse backgrounds. Scott brought the folkie songwriting approach. Joe brought the heavy rock muscle. Carlos topped it off with the Latin spice. For two years they worked together, keeping each other and their respective families safe, while pouring themselves into the creative outlet they forged as a team. 1000 Year Flood is a band. It is a power trio. It is a "Dad Band Power Trio." Once free to perform, it did not take long to grow from a popular neighborhood act in the hinterlands of Vancouver, WA to the larger and more metropolitan areas of Portland, OR. In October of 2022 they released their first collection of songs and they now find themselves poised to reach farther still.
