Mark Vennis & Different Place are a rock band from Petersfield in Hampshire. They play original songs all written by Mark from an eclectic set of influences including The Clash, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Weller.

The band have released three highly regarded albums Uncharted Water, Faded Glory and Other Stories, 2018’s A Beautiful Lie or The Ugly Truth, and Fighting on All Fronts in November 2020.

Their new single is called Wild Suburban Boy and is from the forthcoming mini album Small Town Vampire, released Jan 2024.

The core members are Mark Vennis, guitar and vocals, Sean Quinn, guitar and percussion, Dave Sweetenham on bass and Brian Gee on drums.

Mark has also written the soundtrack music to the new documentary ON RESISTANCE STREET, a film about rebel rock and the fight against racism.
