Charise is a New York University Tisch School of the Arts and Orange County School of the Arts alumna hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota originally. Her songs have been featured in SF Weekly, Ukulele Magazine, and on an array of blogs and radio stations in several countries. NPR once called her an “amazing unsigned act.” Charise has performed on TV and at music festivals and venues both stateside and abroad. One of her singles won “Song of the Year” on a Berlin based radio show.
Multiple releases have made it onto the FYC ballots for Grammy nomination consideration. She also writes, directs, and produces scripts for TV, theater, and film. As a multifaceted award-winning storyteller, she has written musical episodes for shows such as CoComelon on Netflix and BBC’s Vida the Vet. Charise is a voting member of NARAS, the Recording Academy, and a registered songwriter with ASCAP.Â
