Aaron Brown aka Aza Brown is a Singer/Songwriter based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and currently sings in The WonderWhys – a highly-demanded band who played The Alexandra Palace (Ally Pally) to 6 thousand people twice in 2017, & played with The Happy Mondays when they visited Chesterfield in 2018.
He rose to prominence in the mid-90’s with seminal Chesterfield band-The Dazy Age. Influenced by the likes of Jellyfish, Frank Zappa, The Beatles & Crowded House, they gleaned a large following in the Midlands & North-thanks to a highly original sound, & sun-soaked harmonies which were perfected into their live shows. When The Dazy Age split in 1997-after recording a well-received eponymous EP the year before-Aaron moved south to High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire & gained a degree in Music Industry Management in 2000.
Returning to Chesterfield later, Aza Brown formed The Chasers-going on to win The Derbyshire Times Band of The Year title at The Winding Wheel in Chesterfield. The band went on to record the acclaimed “G-Club E.P” the next year
After a 15 year hiatus from original music, Aaron has returned to record the album he always knew he had in him – with producer Danny Burton. With the ethereal sheen of The Verve omnipresent and a feel-good factor that belies the difficult times confronted in it’s making, “Exennial” promises to be the uplifting soundtrack of The World emerging from a year’s hibernation, beginning with the anthemic single “Pure Water.”
