Of Forever, the first single release from her private EP inDream, Ariah cites: “Forever represents a single stage in a process of self-discovery that develops over each track on inDream. It represents a more challenging point, so I wanted the music to convey that sense of complication. It focuses on introspection: scrutinising the ways in which perspective effects the quality and experience of life.”
Of Complicated, her second release, she shares: “With Complicated I had this concept in mind of love as water. I decided to drench the track in reverb and ‘splash’ type electronic instrumentation, the music video expands on this theme. I thought about how love, like water, is vital for survival – but also capable of causing harm. It made me think about context, and how important it is in deciding whether the purest of things can corrupt, and be corrupted…”
