Signal Static-Dark to Light
Addictive rock returns with Signal Static. The band with so many inspirations continues to be one for us. The rock band has had some incredible tracks that have revived the fire of the genre for listeners. Their fiery spirit and refusal to languish as just another page in history remains powerful. This is their latest single, Dark to Light. What brings power to song is tempo. Using the drumbeat to give us a mounting rhythm, Signal Static give us a gallop to get addicted to. Dark to Light has some great riff work, energy and most importantly, character. The tones are meaty and thick, while bringing that zealous anthemic feel. When we listened to Objects of Affection, we knew what the potential annihilating energy of the band would be. They seem to have acted very well on it, giving us a verse section that is memorable. It bleeds in effortlessly into the chorus, something you can sing when you’re moshing in your living room, blasting this on your speaker. I must commend the band for finding their perfect sound in production. There is a great increase in how you hear the levels, vocals and harmonics and the hierarchy of the instruments. Signal Static are your rock band’s favourite band, no doubt. This song would be a great fit in the action movie, Borderlands (2024). It has some snappy action sequences that need this kind of fiery attitude to make it the action packed film it is supposed to be.
