Nic Nichols-Blind
Nic Nichols is an artist who shows promise with her sound. A delicate embroidery of what inspires her, she has gone ahead to create a sound that is undoubtedly her fingerprint. There are psychedelic reveries to be delved into. There are unique themes to breathe in. Most importantly, there is music to love. This is her latest single, Blind. If you can imagine it, this is what Jefferson Airplane would sound like if it was fronted by Nic Nichols. The tones she achieves are a masterclass in designing, when they bleed into your headspace. The brisk travel is as deep as the harmonic that surrounds you often. I have been addicted to that chord progression/riff for all of today, and I know no indie artist could have utilised it like Nic. You can also listen to her single That’s Just The Way Things Go. Her experiments with style and her unique ability to translate poetry like this is awe-inspiring. Go ahead and follow her for what promises to be melodic memories adrift. Listen to her single above and give Nic Nichols some love! I would love to see this in the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). This is the kind of music that alleviates movies.
