Heistheartist-Ungodly Hour

The duet makes it something of an R&B paradise. From the deeper, raspy whispers from Heistheartist, the harmonics transport you to another world. Artificial harmonics bring the tiny flourishes, a song like this shines bright with. The almost whispering nature of the vocals make you listen with a little more zest, while the soothing effect is felt. Heistheartist brings a lovely acoustic track with such simplicity and joy in the lyrics-the performance is heightened to something new. The licks and hits on the guitar bring a spicy, naughty flavour to the wholly acoustic track. Bringing percussion only using the slight thumps on the muted strings, a lot of the flow can be understood by the vocals present. It is one of the best songs, hands down, performed on the EP. Some just have the magic in them. Add this musician to the top of that list. I’d loved to have seen this featured in Malcolm & Marie (2021). From the acoustic setting to the lyrics being heard over romantic scene transitions, this song is perfect for the movie’s soundtrack. This singer is beyond anyone’s expectations, with his superb execution skills. From God is On My Mind to Boom-Doo Wop Version, he is a favourite with many neo-soul addicts.
